From Oakley's earnings report filed 2/11/98:

The increase in domestic sales was principally the result of a 56%
increase in sales to Sunglass Hut, the company's largest customer,
over the prior year period in which the company experienced
significant order cancellations with this customer.

Also a 13G was filed yesterday. Free Edgar is having problems and I
was not able to access the filing to find out the details. If anyone
has access, please post.

Don't know about the stores closing down. I hope so. I also hope they cut sg&a. My guess is we are getting some light accumulation on positive reaction to having a new CEO and we probably have some support now at 7, up from 6.

The volume has not been great, so I'm not expecting anything spectacular. The best news is that after the terrible sales report last Thursday the stock hardly moved, and volume was about twice the daily average.

Of course, the price jump may be in reaction to the cool shades worn by the snowboarders and freestyle skiers at the Olympics -- hmmm, is anyone actually watching the Olympics?
