Some of that could be blamed on the monarchy, most of it isn't anything to do with them.

Sure, a lot of money could be saved if the monarchy got punted.

As I have said before though, what comes in its place?

France got Bonapart.

Britain got Cromwell, not a bad deal, but things then got iffy and we rescinded back to Royalty.

But a Royalty that knew it's place.

That may not be case anymore with Charles III.

Yeah, I won't be an official mourner. I can understand where Chris Hedges is coming from.
