I watched the first season of Pachinko a few months ago. It's all about young people during and after Japanese occupation of Korea. It's on Apple TV and uses Korean (or dubbed English) and Japanese audio with or without captions for both. It's very well acted. I'll definitely watch season 2. I want find out how the girl/old woman got the Pachinko parlors built and how she stuck it to the Japanese investors.

Empires are never benevolent but will do anything to stay in power, including genocide, a practice America has refined to dark art and fully intends to continue its practice. 10 months ago.
