I stopped posting on political boards basically because hardly anyone questions and rethinks their positions anymore when evidence is presented to the contrary. And this holds equally to those on the Left and Right, liberals and conservatives. Politics has become by and large a system based on beliefs. That is why Left and Right are so diametrically opposed to one another in the US. Maybe there are 10 percent of US citizens who question and reevaluate their positions. I, for one, think there are some very good critiques of both platforms and I allow myself to rethink my positions accordingly. Above all, I am very open to listening to these critiques, something that most politicos are not open to. And yes, I don't think it is so cut and dry that one side is always right in relation to the other.
