Thanks for the explanation. To make sure I understand you correctly, Let's say QNTM is trading at $25, your trading system indicates that if it trades at 26.13 it will go higher. You would enter a buy stop limit order for $26.13. This order will seek to buy at $26.13, if the stock should gap up to $27 the order would not be filled, protecting you against a gap that may turn against you.
