Larry, this is unqualified good news.my worst fear was SGI sitting around waiting for a standard. now i hope they agressivly impliment the draft proposal, and fix it when the standard is finalised. there have been some spooky moments recently as the crew who do such work at SGI came under review, but now that everyone agrees on the packaging of digital media, work can go forth. profits will follow. this is huge. and everyone can delete those quirky, propritary audio and video players cluttering up your hard drive.
