Maybe if I point out the areas that will be picked apart by certain other posters, we can get it all out of the way quickly, and with no animosity.

1) 500,000 lines ... is that all? One application?
2) No dollar amount. At $0.25 per line of code, this is $125,000. Or, maybe this was a "free trial" to prove it can be done?
3) A "fully automated" remediation of 500,000 lines ought to take about 5 minutes, not 3 weeks.
4) No platform was described. Probably another HP3000? Peanuts.

There, I think that covers it.

I'd provide the positive spin for all these issues, but "tech" loves doing it so much that I thought I'd let him have his fun.

Sure is a pretty day.

ConSyGen Completes Year 2000 Contract For Client of Chase
Software Norway AS

link: biz.yahoo.com

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 1998--On Jan. 20, 1998, ConSyGen Inc. (OTC BB: CSGI - consygen.com) announced that it had been awarded a contract by Chase Software Norway AS, Stavanger, Norway, to make a critical software application Year 2000 compliant for a Chase client, the Norwegian telecommunications organization, Telenor. The contract was for approximately 500,000 lines of code.

ConSyGen today announced that the Year 2000 corrections were completed on Feb. 6. The corrected code has been returned to Telenor, and is now undergoing testing.

"''This project is another example of how quickly an automated solution can get the client up and running in a minimal amount of time,'' he added. ''We had to deal with the Norwegian language and we received the code in pieces, yet we were still able to complete the project within approximately 15 days. The project adds credibility to the international effort that we are putting into place.''

=============
Who is Telenor ?
=============

The Telenor Group comprises the state-owned
joint-stock company Telenor AS and its
subsidiaries. With more than 19,000 employees
and an annual revenue of NOK 22.2 billion,

Telenor is one of the largest companies in
Norway, and one of those that adds most
value. Telenor is Norway1s market leader in the
fields of telecommunications, data services,
and media distribution. The services comprise
everything from simple telephone subscriptions
to the installation and operation of complete IT
systems.

_______________________________________________________

It is my opinion that this is an initial contract that could prove to be even more significant than the potential contract with Motorola.

Telenor is a multi- billion dollar company with more
than 19,000 employees.

Based on the successfully testing of this initial 500,000 lines of code, Telenor could be a major supplier of, literally, millions and millions of lines of code.

This project was brought to ConSyGen by Chase Technology and I
believe that the ConSyGen / Chase partnership will win many projects
in Europe.

STAY TUNED.
