SanDisk Introduces 30, 40 and 48MB CompactFlash Cards

48MB Card is Industry's Highest Capacity CF Card

NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 1998--SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK - news) today
introduced 30, 40 and 48 megabyte (MB) solid-state CompactFlash(tm)(CF(tm)) memory cards and announced
that sampling will start immediately with volume shipments in March. The 48MB card is the industry's highest
capacity CompactFlash card.

The announcements were made at the annual PMA (Photo Marketing Association) trade show in New Orleans.
Most CF cards, which can store images, audio or data, are used today to capture and store images in digital
cameras. SanDisk is demonstrating the high capacity memory cards and other products in booth F170 at the
show.

Ed Cuellar, SanDisk product manager said, ''With the introduction of numerous megapixel digital cameras,
consumers want higher capacity memory cards because many of these cameras require a megabyte of storage for
each image in highest resolution mode. The demand for high capacity storage cards for digital cameras is
exceeding many of the early market forecasts.''

He added that, ''Consumers clearly have voiced their preference for CF cards over competing small size memory
cards. More than 25 new digital cameras specifically designed with slots for CF cards have been introduced and
more than 20 additional digital cameras designed to use CompactFlash will be introduced this year.''

SanDisk CompactFlash memory cards are sold both under the brand names of leading camera manufacturers,
such as Kodak, Canon, Casio, Konica and Panasonic, and under the SanDisk brand label. Besides the 30, 40 and
48MB capacities, CompactFlash cards also are available in 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, 20 and 24MB capacities.
