Jodi---I've learned the hard way that if you intend to trade high profile tech stocks on the premise of earnings announcements, you have to look at several things. 1. The immediate nature of the sector--because of the asian problem, semis are risky, and every one of them are warning of slowdowns. 2. Unless you are fairly sure of extraordinary earnings, don't hold for the announcement, but play the expectation before hand, and sell before the earnings. Most of them will rise before the announcement and drop like a rock if disappointing. 3. Always pick a stop point that you are comfortable with and set a stop-loss order. Techs are risky-----they are like a flock of sheep----one blows up and the rest follow it down.

Hey! I Sold 3000 CNSI for 2 5/32 at 10:47:45 on 02/11/98
always thought that hey that detek does was funny,
especially on losingtrades, he he.
Well volume is just dead on cnsi, and having screwed
up twice in the last week, time to take a break
and gather my ideas together for another day. In case
anybody is interested--here are my two screw ups--lost
50% on a handful of MSFT puts (better than 100% tho) and
missed out on a nice run in Pacific Aerospace warrants,
because I didn't want to pay an extra eighth--oh man!
At least I can't lose out with cash (unless of course
activity finally picks up in Cambridge...now wouldn't
that be funny...)
