Hi W0Z,

I have since joined Insiders group and have a coupon for a 6.5 hp engine. I buy a lot from my local store, and know the workers.

Once I get my garden to shut off the harvest, I'm going to buy one or the other. Not sure if the 6.5 will fit. If I buy it and it doesn't fit, I'll do the 3.0 HP.

Can't believe they are so reasonable.

First need to take out the old engine.

It's been one of those "Things to do".

If that 6.5 hp works, I think i'll need to till with a race helmet on. LOL

Still owe you for the great idea.

In between I've spent almost as much renting tillers as the engine would cost. Also need to replace the axle seals. They were replaced but the wrong style.

So many chores, so little time. <smile>

Bob

Hello Bill...

I wouldn't bother with converting futures to the price you pay on the street... after saying that, you could use the continuous contract found on Stock charts for any charting purposes... symbol $HOIL. Today the continuous contract closed at 3.26... so forget about last years good fortune and decide if you want a full tank!

Heating oil is very straight forward and for most heating seasons it goes up on demand and weather and then down... historically supply has been fairly consistent and available.

The last couple of years we have seen significant volatility in the supple chain and this season futures traders are looking at the height of the winter season - in New England, October to April 2023 - and they're nervous about available supply chains in both NG and heating oil. (noted in the two referenced articles)

Last year couple of years in New England there were no drivers to deliver... getting to each customer on time was a bear. This year supply chain pressures are a concern, so locking in a price at least guarantees one will get 1000 gallons.

I need to budget for 900 to 1000 gallons just for October to end the of April 2023... (btw... that's why Bob goes to Texas) <<smile>>

Good Luck...!!!
Chip
