I wasn't saying it was a grungy thing. These people are making buses and vans like homes on wheels, complete with mobile offices so they can work remote while traveling the country. They stay in state or national parks, typically. Some of them are bloggers or journalists.

My brother was trying the mobile life. He and his wife had a long Airstream trailer . Very nice, but unless you spent every night in a Walmart parking lot his visiting options for cities was on the outskirts, and nightly charges were about the same as a motel room. Things also seemed to break frequently so much of his travels were from one Airstream dealer to the next to have something worked on. I did not see it as the glamorous life.
