The worst dentist I ever had was an Italian NYU professor who had celebrities as clients. The best I had was an Iranian who spends 2 days a week treating the homeless and foster kids free of charge.

I can't explain how to tell who is top notch and who is not, but I do know that it is not about their credentials or how many high profile clients they have.

Tens of thousands of people, especially Amish and Mennonites and people in the Southwest, go to a border town in Mexico that has the highest concentration of dentists on the planet.

I think you can have it done there for less than half of what it costs here. People rave about that place.
