Teddy and Big Dog: Long talk with Mike King ,V.P. at Rauscher. He reported on an office conference with their top analysts on drillers. Then he made a call to Jim Krebs (?) to check on details:

1. Drillers look firm. No spending cuts for water drillers (especially deep water), perhaps for land drillers if oil stays low. RIG recently signed a five year contract with Chevron for $205,000 a day. Over the next year or two, "their earnings will knock your lights out."

2.The analyst agreed with Big Dog: he "fully expects someone to buy ATW in the next twelve months." Regardless, ATW will trade at 70 or better.

3.Their favorite is FLC. Because of the merger, they have "the perfect rig fleet." They will control a fantastic amount of drilling, 33% of the drilling world- wide. By 2000 they will be "the cleanest, most powerful, most effective driller in the world." They also love NE.

4. He would enter FLC at 29 or below, although this is not a bad entry point.

5.Long term, they look for a 5 to 8 year boom in drilling stocks.

Luck to all. Swede
