These migrants were not harmed by DeSantis. I agree, but that wasn't DeSantis's intention. He wanted to strand them on an isolated island and keep them from keeping their appointments in cities far away from the island. But now that they have lawyers, I suspect DeSantis's dark intentions will be thwarted.

But yes, they were indeed "deported" to a military base because Martha's Vineyard didn't want to house them, despite having more than enough resources to accommodate them.

You're reading your bias into events. It would've been stupid for them to try to stay on MV permanently.
