Seems like the automotive customers are the dumbest customers and deserve all of the misfortune.

They go from from nickel and diming foundries to shutting down production due to lack of semis, and even before fully out of that cycle, they are already insisting on nickel and diming again...

BTW, this deflation may not be applicable to TSMC (yet). TSMC plans on raising prices, according to this article:
