Thanks for the suggestion to check CA--confirms my speculation relative to the activities last spring and summer--the $12.0 million note in March 97 and what I think was a not too subtle takeover attempt that failed.
SSAX at $10-or $12 or even $15 is the cheap compared with any of its competitors. Most sell for a price to sales ratios of four or higher.
SSAX is selling for 0.85 based on 48 million shares and 430 million sales (97). On a projected sales basis of 535 million its about 0.68.

Without the close ownership of management and two institutions--it could have been all over by now (my opinion).
