Indeed. But I think there's a distinction to be made between different kinds of moats: let's call the two kinds "positive" and "negative".

A positive moat would be one where you can't stop talking about the company because you love their product and brand so much. (A good example would be Apple back in the day. Another would perhaps be (to this day) Alphabet, at least for me.) You don't feel locked in, even though perhaps you are to an even greater extent because of this "love".

A negative moat would be Apple of today. People feel trapped with the products, and their ever-increasing prices. At my last job, during a coffee-break, all the 15 or so colleagues were engaged in a conversation about how addicted each and every one of them were to the iPhone. And, it turned out, they were addicted to AirPods too – at least many of them had those too, although they are pricey as hell (and not even comfortable/good sounding, IMO). Share of mind indeed.
