We pay $105 per month to T Mobile for four phone lines, all with unlimited domestic data, calls and text.

We get $10 per month off YouTube TB with that T Mobile account.

We get free Paramount+ with that account.

That seems like an OK price to me.

I use Redpocket MVNO which runs on either Verizon or ATT network. I pay about $21/ month (prepaid for one year) for 8GB.

I did some testing and found ATT network works best for me. I tested Tmobile (they have a Network pass that let’s you test their network for 3 month for free, if you got an esim phone) and it doesn’t work inside concrete building (still lack of low frequency spectrum I presume). My wife tested the same (using Network pass) and she got the same results (in the hospitals she works she get bad or no reception with T-Mobile). Verizon prepaid which she uses currently works fine.

She did find however that T-Mobile 5G is more available and faster than Verizon’s 5G. Thats fine, but 5G runs on relatively high frequency and never gets into concrete building so for me and for her, it almost doesn’t matter. My phone doesn’t have 5G capability anyways.

So MVNO are the way to go, but a cheap carrier doesn’t matter if you get no receptions so you need to chose based on the local idiosyncrasies.
