USA was once a nation run by the people for themselves. From the Bushs' on the GOP has taught that America must be the world's altruistic power. It is our moral duty to protect the world, to feed the world, to teach the world. Regardless of the cost in gold or blood to Americans. This was bad enough but now we are being primed to accept that it is now our turn to be poor. It's only "fair".
