Tom, CNBC "bubblevision" (credit to Michael Belkin) just reported that the U.S. marketcap/GDP is 127% . The most expensive mkt by this measure was Japan in 1989 at 130%. previous record for U. S. 77% in 1929 which bottomed at 33% of GDP-note GDP contracted substantially I don't have the number handy but i think it was in excess of 25%. In 1987 mktcap/GDP was 64% declined to mid 40's. The average mkt cap/GDP for the century is 48%. An interesting read for bears is nwlink.com it has mkt/cap % and makes comparison to 1929. fiendbear.com is also a great site with many interesting links. Mike
