PSI Launches Extranet Service In Japan 02/12/98

TOKYO, JAPAN, 1998 FEB 12 (NB) -- By Martyn Williams, Newsbytes. PSINet
Japan, a unit of PSINet Inc. [NASDAQ:PSIX], has announced a new
extranet service. PSIXtranet Pack allows mobile and remote users to
securely access internal servers.

The extranet pack includes a leased line, from the corporate network
to the PSINet network, five dial-up accounts, PSINet's RouteWalker
security service and five remote access cryptocards. It is available
in two versions, one with a 64 kilobit per second leased line and
one with a 128 kilobit per second leased line.

The PSIXtranet Pack 64 is 148,000 yen ($1,204) per month with a 70,000
yen initial start-up fee. The 128 version carries the same initial
fee and a monthly fee of 198,000 yen ($1,612).
