I thought I'd turn into a stalemate from the start... like our Vietnam, like Russia's Afghanistan, like our Afghanistan... A decently armed and determined populace can only be defeated temporarily... military schools teach that in strategy courses. At least the one I took. That means the Russians will lose... unless Putin uses nukes then we all lose... We can hope if he orders that, cooler heads in Russia will prevail like one Sub commander did in the Cuban missile crisis.
