Brumar,
You're going to argue Gaetz is innocent?
I don't give a shit about Gaetz. AFAIK, he's as guilty as sin.

What I do have a problem with are those who think seeking a pardon or staying silent is the legal equivalent to an admission of guilt.

Without the fifth amendment, Dr. Fauci would be decimated by Rand Paul and his GQP cohorts.

Without the fifth amendment, Kyle Rittenhouse would have been tricked by an overzealous D.A. into self-incrimination, and an innocent 18-year-old kid would have gotten life without parole.

I used to think that taking the fifth was the legal kiss of death, but now I see how invaluable it is and why it had to be part of the original Bill of Rights.

Because without it, the state would have way too much power to jail innocent people. And the people in charge would no doubt abuse that power out of political privilege.

Just like we see with Dr. Fauci and Kyle Rittenhouse.

Thank GOD we have the fifth amendment.

Tenchusatsu

P.S. - I realize why you are no longer a believer in the fifth amendment. It's all because Orange Man invoked it way too many times, right?

I'm pretty sure Gaetz was quietly cleared today. So, what, you want him prosecuted anyway?
