AOL's PE: out of the top of my head, for calendar 97 the PE has no meaning as they lost money. For 98, I guess analysts revised their numbers but I expect quite a bit of variability on the estimate [anyways so far out their estimates are always pretty bad]. Go for a high one: 2/share gives you a PE of about 57, pretty reasonable! isn't it?

[from Zacks consensus earnings for this fiscal are .91/share and 1.61/share for next. I think they close end of June so my two bucks for 98 is supper optimistic as analysts predict an average of 1.61 for 6/98-6/99]. using let's say 1.5/share for 98 you get a PE of about 100. [ups! Sorry! still not trading at 150]. At a price of 114 gives you a PE of around 75, higher than MSFT's but again pretty reasonable :)
