What about the opportunity cost for the margin or capital used for selling the calls?

This is a rough sketch of how the strategy of 75% QYLD + 25% SQQQ would have performed over the past year. It is a very rough approximation, because I can't roll it over properly at the end of each month. So it basically says I bought and held it a year ago. It also doesn't account for dividends received and the proceeds from selling covered calls on SQQQ.

Overall, we can approximate it as the capital was preserved (we're where we started) while receiving ~20% dividends for 15% swings.
