Re: Young Folk Portfolio -- Add On Buys

Portfolio Objective:

The portfolio value needs to grow at an 8.25% CAGR.
The dividend cash flows need to grow at a 13.8% CAGR.

A full position in the Taxable Account is $8,000 for equities and $4,000 for CEF's and ETF's.
A full position in the Roth Account is $4,000.

For the average investor (me), bear markets are a normal part of the buy and hold investing experience, and a passive strategy like dollar-cost averaging can be the best way to lower cost basis and set oneself up for success once the market eventually turns around.

October is a poor dividend month for us as there isn't much to work with but there was enough dividends to add once more to D as I trying to bring it up in size with the other positions in the portfolio.

Today I added:

D .. 1 share .. 3.73% yield.

This brings D up to $4,815 where a full position is $8,000.
