BTW..AlexD you're as bad as someone else around here spreading truely false info. They've demoed the chip, but maybe not to everyone thats wanted to see it. Shit, I'd bet the Innovascamers would love to get a demo, a fat chance though.

I saw the Dow Jones/WSJ version of the i740 story today. It says that the i740 will also be made available on motherboard configurations ranging in price from (from memory...)$195.00 to $349.00 .
I feel that Intel may have DVD involved in that pricing strategy and I don't believe it involves a daughter card. We have seen the stories mentioning the i740 will support Hardware DVD. It also sounds like more than two motherboards will be offered. If my rational is correct, the Hardware PC-DVD market may engage warp-speed tomorrow along with the chip(s) on those boards.
