Tulvio,

It has been known for sometimes re. INTC's strategic initiatives toward the networking space. I think the real intention is to "widen the ramp" in order to create/expand Intel's markets for high performance CPUs.

The no. 1 victim has been--and shall be for the foreseeable future--COMS. As to CSCO, Intel recently reiterated its intention to partmer closely with a number of high tech giants, and CSCO was included on that list. I shall try to dip up that reference for you from my files.

CSCO has the high-end core business and is supported by its IOP system. Among all networkers, it is less vulnerable to Intel's threat.

Just some personal thoughts.

Ibexx

In the enterprise area, Intel will continue to leverage its OEM
agreements with major networking vendors Cisco Systems Inc.
