Five NE states had vaccination rates over 80 % and they are the only states with rates that high. Those states are almost as high as Canada's. So there's your answer.

Inode, Who do you think handled the Pandemic well? No one, really. The only praise I have of California Governor Newsom is that he had the foresight to shut down the state early. That, among other things, helped California not become Ground Zero for the initial surge despite California seeing the very first cases, and despite the large Chinese-American population here. Beyond that, though, he didn't do such a good job. He fumbled the vaccine rollout. He tried but couldn't stick to any consistent standards for lockdowns and the lifting thereof. (The eventual lifting of lockdowns was all timed by politics.) And then there was that Maskgate thingy. But the biggest thing that I was pissed off about was Newsom's emptying of prisons: Formerly About Advanced Micro Devices Message Board - Msg: 32737149 (siliconinvestor.com) By its very definition, a prison is a place where you can sequester inmates and limit the spread of airborne viruses. And yet Newsom used the opportunity to advance a left-wing agenda and help contribute to the huge spike in crime these days. Never let a serious crisis go to waste. Tenchusatsu
