He might encourage state legislatures to move to a shorter time span before abortion is banned. It does seem completely counter to the spirit of what is happened to have a national legislative ban proposed by McConnell. I have not heard noise of this. I have heard noise of the Democrats talking about a national bill to insure it is not restricted in any state. Both of these initiatives though are legislative in nature and are still better to the invention of a right by a Federal Court which does note have any voter input at all. And I say better in a sense of being more democratic and less centralized.
