On my MDX, I had to replace 3 of the 4 window regulators, one at a time when they failed.

There was a defect in a plastic part that would fail over time.

Fortunately, mine were easy to replace, and the weather was cooperative in 2 of the 3 instances.

I thought about pre-emptively replacing the 4th, but never did.

It sounds like you may be dealing with a case of a design that was built for both power and crank windows, and the aftermarket part is just made for power or something.

Having the window regulator go bad is so strange. I would go out to the car in the morning, and the window would be all the way down. I couldn't understand what happened the 1st time I saw this occur.

I just put the water in the hole, a pressure washer works great
