I agree with your comments wholeheartedly. It would be like having a rocket scientist bagging groceries at the supermarket if Brinker ceased doing his monologues. Of course listeners do not have a birth right to any component of the MoneyTalk program. However, if the nature of the program is changed significantly to the displeasure of its' customers (the listening audience), there may be no one out there to listen to the commercials as consequence.

It's obvious that the Moneytalk program and stations that air it are in the business to make money for their respective shareholders - this is not PBS we're talking about here. There's always a chance individual stations could find a way to make more moiney by airing local "talent" or another syndicated program.
