Scott,

I get these little forms that I have to sigh from my broker stating that he did not solicit my buy on GPGI. He personally thinks I am really naieve and stupid. Perhaps I am. I have been that way for a long time.

I must say that I have never had a broker who helped me in any way other than in making the trade, and they mostly have charged more than they are worth. Generally, they will do what you tell them and charge you a great amount of money. I have a local account with a full-service broker for my SEP IRA account, and these people let my blood with every transaction. I do not know why I do that, but I like to keep things local if I can. I made a trade today of 500 sh at 20 and they charged me $175. Is that robery, or what? Bear in mind that these people have not given me an acceptable recommendation in close to 5 years. Most brokerage recommendations are 100% wrong, but these people are still in business. Is there something wrong here or what?

Hope your brother is better than most--

Jack
