I recommend the Drake Well Museum in Pennsylvania.


Growing up in Western PA, that was a standard school field trip in the 60's. Probably not today.

There should be more study about the ongoing bacterial creation of petroleum.
The atmosphere of several of the outer planets contain methane and ammonia. I don't think anyone has ever suggested biological origins. Hydrocarbons apparently can be formed in multiple ways.
