Note the narrative:

BREAKING: Russia’s State Duma calls the explosion on Crimean Bridge a “declaration of war”
read article here

So the bombings of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa, Mariupol, Chernihiv, and Donbass region - and wherever else that included hospitals and schools with thousands of civil casualties, including hundreds of children, and displacing millions of Ukrainian citizens, is NOT a declaration of war, but merely a "special operation". The subsequent mobilization of hundreds of thousands conscripts to continue this invasion is also not war...

...BUT, blow up a bridge and that's it! Ukraine just declared war.

Riddle me this:

Let's say "Ukraine was planning to kick Russia out of Sevastopol and Crimea" as you suggest.

Let's say Ukraine decided they needed to do a special operation to kick them out and show Russia who's boss. So, they bomb Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk & Yekaterinburg as part of a "special operation" killing civilians and displacing millions of Russian citizens.

Would you consider that war?
