Civilization and trade are built on standards.

The Chinese traditionally were good at that kind of stuff, suffered from a bad period, possible bad actors involved, and have since recovered.

<<when they are not bailed out and suffer the consequences of their actions.>>

hmmm 2008?

People say that China does not have good standards regarding corruption, but I think maybe we (in the West) have some lessons to learn?

China seems to be doing okay at the moment. Thier system of governance enables business to thrive.

Ref Civilization (business) and trade. Addendum.

<<Pure capitalism abhors regulations and restrictions.>>

Really? Not sure if that is true, even in the slightest. Consider this....

I am going to refer to a utube video, most people don't bother with my video links, so I will add some detail if they wish to skip it.

We use measurement to an agreed standard. No shared human endeavour can continue without that.

Monaco64 is a Utuber I sometimes watch, and he makes a telling point here imho.

youtu.be

Money is measured in some kind of unit too, and there has to be some kind of agreed standard. FACT.

I think Monaco64 makes his point well imo, and the timing probably made it ever more clear to UK residents given the news that day.

The whole video can be watch here if desired.
