Clearly, It bothers you that most of Asia is very dependent on the USA, in particular the way the USD trades.

You are full of contradictions and inconsistencies. You want the USA to be more pro worker and pro union, yet they should support more Free Trade. The unions and most blue collar workers are not pro free trade. What they are is pro higher salaries for themselves at home. The two, pro free trade and cow towing to unions and workers are not compatible. It is a delicate situation, which is difficult to satisfy all parties concerned.

I am more in the free trade camp.

No sure where you are located, but many workers and unions got screwed as a result of US free trade deals, such as NAFTA, where production was moved outside the USA, where costs were cheaper, such as salaries. Most US workers support made in USA. Richer folk tend not to care so much and just want the best price.

Balancing the Global demand and benefits of Free Trade with the demands of many workers is not always easy. Both sides get screwed in a way.
