TJ not clear to me what college/university she attends would appreciate to know.

As to this remark "I do not get it when folks make fun of college kids learning about bee-keeping and such."

Before immigrating to Israel I learned to grow bees and also "bees Queen milk" - the food given to a bee larva to become a QUEEN - extremely potent but healthy it is mixed like 5% in regular honey for consumption.

"bees Queen milk" is done by working bees, when the Queen gets old and less productive making too many male bees. After the new Queen matures and comes out the hive separates one remain with the old Queen to search for a new home and the young Queen mates with the old Queen male bees - that after mating the male bees die of hunger.

Tried my hand in growing bees in Israel after a swarm got hanging on the building roof. It was in Tel Aviv and due to no pollinated flowers on a diet of sugar they slowly perished - was in depressed mood for a long time.

European bees are tame and you can cover yourself with them without getting stung.

What type of bees are she taking care off?
