What I like about the new press releases is:

1) It shows developement of a system for taking pictures on the fly and with great ease, downloading them to your PC. This is what "shutterbugs" want to see.
2) SNDK PR is finally, using numbers - telling how many picture can be stored on the CF and they recognize the concerns of digital photog as shown by this quote: "allows consumers to download images up to 20 times faster than by employing the serial port (on the camera)connection method frequently used today.
For example, downloading a 10MB CF card filled with images through the serial port takes more than 10 minutes while downloading the images with the ImageMate takes less than one minute."
A tenfold increase in download time - pretty impressive.

I wonder how that stacks up to the "clik" which is still mechanical as opposed to the Image Mate Card Reader (non-mechanical)?

Remember the scene from Lawrence of Arabia when they were crossing the Nefud and after so many days the camels would start to die and then everone else and then they came finally ccame out and found a well.........

I ma trying veryu hard not to be to optimistic but reading the press release today I can't help it. I think this is going to be a gusher.....
