If I were only net long, then you would be exactly right...

BUT...

A declining market makes no difference to me, I'm also short the SOXX in a well balanced ratio, so anything I lose on the long side of the SOXL I more than make up with the short SOXX...

THAT'S the beauty of the smart spread...

So, the downside risk is nonexistent, it's only a matter of waiting it out...

Frankly, it's more boring than anything else, but, as they say, patience is a virtue...

If this is the early stages of great depression 2, which clearly you do not believe is so, SOXL will not
exist in a few years. Odds against this being the early stages of a second great depression are low,
so you toughness and tenacity will probably pay off big time.

Going to be some very strange stuff possibly happening in the near future.
The fear now is inflation, but in the attempt to defeat that, the fed may induce deflation.
If people place big bets that inflation will persist and soar, well, there might be a lot of bankruptcies.

Personally, I am just trying to survive this SOXL monster. I have done a lot of gambling in casinos.
I have never, ever gambled with money that was supposed to be savings and I never will.
I have seen many people devestated because they keep increasing their bets as they lost more and
more money. I still think that there will be a bounce in SOXL that will allow me to escape with at least
some money left. Could be wrong.
