we had huge fires in our interior but this one was not many miles from Vancouver. it did not rain on the PNE parade, raining on the parade was a annual event

I was warning people the Sierras were going to burn way back in the 60s.

Not only me but John Muir and Jack Kerouac (fire spotter in the Six Rivers area when he was writing Desolation Angles) said the Forest Service was destroying the forests. People though I was crazy then. Its probably too late to save the Sierras now. They'll save a few little patches but it's pretty much gonna all burn.
