How long just nothing bad has happened so let's go up psychology will propel the stocks in the face of possibly weakening earnings in the next Qs?<<

It always hurts to go against the market. In the past, I have done it on the long side. At this point, can't tell whether it is the right thing to do but I will ride the storm out, irt just does not make sense to cover any shorts at these levels. At this point (it may look different later) a mistake I made was to go net short too soon, and gone too far in some short positions, but when I made the moves I was prepared in theory and pocket to to face a big run up, now I have to handle the real thing.
