In my opinion the bomb material was integrated in those pieces of Gas tube material, which was later assembled to create the North Gas line. Thus leaving some secret options to be used to blow up the line at any future time. The access to those explosive parts obviously were very well hidden, Russian state secrets only know to a very few ...
So, who found and used the access to the fuses?
That's the question.

"whereas RuZZia can benefit if they can successfully frame NATO."

NATO framed itself by bluntly saying it would do anything to prevent NS2 from operating. That's called motive. We also know US was conducting undersea and aerial operations right at the spot where the 3 lines were bomber. That's called opportunity.

Russia has nothing to gain by destroying its energy leverage with Germany. Nothing.
