Thean...<OFF TOPIC>...
Yes, survived the dreaded El Nino..with 18" of rain absorbed within the last week here in the Santa Cruz mountains. Our annual rainfall average is 60", so for the most part the usual suspects were the ones that got flooded-out in this recent onslaught.
Back to the oil patch: The seas have been a little choppy around the rigs recently [metaphorically speaking], and I have managed to achieve some gains. Now, invested in the Rigmeister ..Up until yesterday stayed in cash after selling drillers last Thursday. What is your recent take? Seems like a better base has been forming..with not quite as much downside risk, even with the recent oil price declines. There are no big surprises on the horizon that I can see. We've already tested $15.60 oil..and basically maintained stock prices at current levels. There was also a good late release from Exxon that will favor the deepwater drillers...
biz.yahoo.com
Exxon currently holds interest in more than 300 deepwater blocks around the world. These blocks are all in water depths in excess of 1350 feet(400 meters)and total approximately 20 million gross acres. The Company's position is particularly strong in the highly prospective areas offshore West Africa and in the Gulf of Mexico

Thanks Thean. Good advice. Just for everyone's info, George Soros has picked up substantial stakes in SEV. and Sedna Geotech recently, though Sedna is mostly in mineral expl. drilling in SA.
