RB, It always boils down to you, the individual. And deep down, even you know that it does. Yes actually ... ESPECIALLY I do... and not deep down .. you take me as a raving Liberal ... I am not.. example.. we are *IDENTICAL* on the abortion issue .. so that is a libertarian (a much maligned moniker these days :) I am however tired of the entitled being in the control seat with zero merit... I cannot think of a better examples than the new king of England.. or my Prime Minister an utter failure of the Canadian democratic system .. if these folks were not in positions of influence/power I would not give a culo de rata.. let them enjoy their dumb luck... That is why I believe in a UBI.. *NO this fare that fare whatever fare* You have enough to live, good medical care and education... the future is yours to win or lose.. sure some will be richer and have advantages .. no problem with that... stop crying.. you have the tools... if you choose to treat your UBI as welfare and live that lifestyle... well too bad... I really believe in merit and believe that we as a society owe it to OURSELVES to level the field towards the goal of a meritocracy... to get all the best and brightest working for us... eliminate the entitled waste while giving the un-entitled a fair starting point... You CANNOT legislate equality of outcomes... that is the bullshit of communism .. really a ruse in practice to control folks in most cases.. I think really that Cuba is not in that mold Another doofus at work last night suggested that I slow down.. I work too hard.. again I told him .. I work hard because I can...and I can because I do.. I am not living paycheck to paycheck.. if folks realised that they would think me even more bizarre... I often say I am a fiscal Con and social Lib... You have heard my 3 tenets .. You state the opposite for yourself.. if you consider free trade a Fiscal Lib ideal then I understand.. and agree.. I say fiscon for myself in the sense of elimination gov waste good public health care good public ed and a UBI Do away with unemployment insurance, gov old age pensions, pensions for the public service, welfare this fare that fare.. have NO box to check on application forms as to your race etc... if with a roof over your head, free health care and education at good levels .. you cannot make it.. then accept your place in the food chain I will not ever again shoot at you ad hominen for God beliefs.. You have a higher power.. I do also.. so I will leave that topic alone henceforth
