Re <<China goes full force into hydrogen>> Yes, and not just for ICE cars. Folks who make feasibility studies in too many places forget to take geo-strategic imperatives into account. Long ago other folks in S Africa used coal-to-oil tech as we do tomato or soy sauce, not because it is 'economic', but because it was a 'must' or else. In that instance the 'or else' worked out okay after regime-change. Energy is a must, full stop.
