I think most of us agree the Fed is expert at fucking things up

Alan Greenspan was not a "Maestro"... turns out he was just another bumbling idiot, imo

Of course it was understandable after the 2007-8 economic collapse due to the criminal (Bush supported) mortgage crisis that the Fed had to print money to support the economy. It was needed to prevent further crisis.

But why did they continue to leave interest rates at basically zero when the crisis was over?... I guess that free money was hard to give up.

Then when Trump stumbled his way into becoming POTUS, he bullied the Fed into keeping int rates low, simply for personal political power (keep the stock market propped up) and financial gains. And then along came the pandemic and once again the free money flowed like a fire hose.

Now the chickens are finally coming home to roost.

And if the Rcons regain power again they are going to double down on stupid down

Batten down your hatches... we may be in for a bumpy ride.
