I am not as optimistic as you as to the quick transition to EV as opposed to oil.

And of course it's not just electric vehicles. The transition will have to include all power. Homes, businesses, manufacturing, etc... So we will still need fossil fuels for a good long while. And Putin knows this. Putin will still be holding a lot of "trump" cards in his hand... ie, if u know the card game... but I hope you are right that Putin is playing a bad hand

The rise of EVs is the product of Musk having created the first serious EV. Until Tesla they were toys.

It was always going to be necessary for EVs to be able to compete with gasoline cars. Tesla if the first to do so and surpass it. The hybrids were jokes.
