Rick: If you are trying to see things as you want them to be i would say you are having a lot of success.
Right now do you really think it makes a difference what NVX reports for earnings in '97? I as a long term investor don't.
If I want a good year to follow once they do get FDA approval I would hope they would take all the losses they can in '97.
I do not hold an analyst to his forecast under such circumstances.
I do think that the analyst that follow the stock and the institutional stock holders of NVX fully understand the NVX story, the problems and the potential.
I have seen several'income models of NVX and the long term projections are very reasonable and doable IMO. I do think NVX/ABBOTT will do very well with CERTIVA but I think why most of us are really in NVX is for what will follow. There are many drug stocks with products in phase III or earlier studies that don't have a market potential of a fraction of what NVX has going for them nor is their market as clearly defined. Well, so much for that. I'll have more to say after the approval.

Rick: You said ; " The Zack numbers are as I stated".
Of course that is my point. So far I have found that if you state something it probably isn't correct. Here we are talking about a simple fact that can be readily checked out and you still don't tell it as it is. I had seen the lastest analysis reports so I figured you had just read it wrong so I assumed once i questioned you and gave you the opportunity to recoup gracefully that you would.
Apparently your ONLY source for information is from that "nite-fax newsletter".

Yes , it is lower than what it was. It was reported before as $1.29
Do you know why?
Do you happen to think that the street just may start discounting the potential EPS for 1999 sometime in 1998? I do.
NVX does actually have the potential to be earning upwards of $5.00 sometime in the next 3 to 5 years.

Rick; You really ought to take NVX off your "most love to hate" stock list. Such negative thinking is just plain bad for your health. :-}
Go over and give the Aviron thread a shot. Get in a positive mind set.
