I wonder if it was a drug deal gone bad. They have arrested the assailant. I would not give a penny for his life if he was a drug dealer. We know the Pelosis are heavy drinkers but not sure about their drug habits.
It is not often that someone survives a hammer attack.

“The attack was not random; the assailant specifically targeted the home,” The Washington Post, citing Associated Press sources, reports. Paul Pelosi was “attacked and severely beaten by an assailant with a hammer,” and “suffered blunt force injuries to his head and body.”
